Costs Involved in Selling /
Purchasing Products and Payment Methods (Guide)
- 1. Prices
-
LAYLA prices comprise "Prices" and "Domestic Prices". The applied price depends on the country of the Seller and the country of the Buyer.
Both of these prices are set by the Seller, and tariffs, consumption tax, or other taxes are not included in the price. Buyers can also negotiate the price of items with Sellers.- Prices: Prices applied to cross-border sales (the country of the Seller and the country of the Buyer is different)
-
Domestic Prices: Prices applied to domestic sales (the country of the Seller and the country of the Buyer is the same)
*Sellers add customs duties, consumption tax, and/or other taxes when setting product prices when necessary.
- 2. Shipping fees
-
Shipping fees are set for each product in accordance with one of the four patterns shown below.
- Seller pays: Seller will bear all shipping cost
-
- Flat: Same cost to all buyers
- Free: Free shipping

- 3. Payment
- (1) Payment methods
-
Payment/settlement of the total of product price and shipment fee (hereinafter referred to as "Order Amount") and usage fees for LAYLA marketplace services can be made via PayPal or a bank transfer.
As a general rule, payments of less than $ 10,000 USD shall be made via PayPal. Since the upper limit for a transaction using the PayPal payment system is stated to USD $10,000(*1), so payments of more than USD $10,000 shall be made via bank transfer.
(*1) The upper limit of online payment is made in compliance with the laws of each country. There are cases where a settlement with PayPal is impossible even if it is less than $ 10,000 USD. In that case, we will settle the payment by bank transfer. - (2) Payment due date
-
After an order has been placed, the Buyer must pay the Order Amount within five days via the specified payment method.
Unless there are special circumstances, if payment is not made on the due date at latest, it will be considered that the Buyer no longer wishes to purchase the product and procedures for cancellation will be carried out. - 3-1. Payment via bank transfer
- (1) Payment agent service
- The "Payment agent service" is a service provided by LAYLA when payments are made via bank transfer. Instead of Buyer paying Order Amount directly to Seller, LAYLA pays Seller on Buyer's behalf. This enables Buyers to reduce the risk of products not being delivered even though the Order Amount has been paid. Specifically, (1) Buyer pays Order Amount to LAYLA (from Buyer's perspective, payment is complete at this point), then (2) when Buyer has received and accepted the purchased product, LAYLA pays Seller the Order Amount received from Buyer.
- (2) Process from payment by the Buyer to receipt by the Seller
-
- Agreement to Terms and Conditions of Use (Sellers authorize LAYLA to receive the Order Amount on their behalf).
-
The Buyer pays LAYLA the Order Amount.
*At this point, Buyer's payment is completed, and so their obligation to Seller is fulfilled.Bank Account

-
Upon receiving the product, Buyer inspects it and sends notification of receipt (acceptance).
*The notification of receipt is sent when Buyer completes rating the Seller. In addition, even if Buyer did not complete Seller's rating or raising a claim etc. after receiving the product, the product will be automatically accepted after 7 days from the scheduled date of arrival specified by Seller. -
After confirming the product's acceptance, LAYLA pays the Order Amount received from Buyer to Seller.
- Bank transfer commission and service fee will be deducted from the Order Amount and balance will be transferred to Seller's account.
